Our Menu

Bob and Anna's goal when opening the first Lizard’s Thicket in 1977 was to "cook just like we do at home", using only the highest quality food. In the beginning Anna would batter the okra herself, one box at a time, and fry chicken in a skillet. As the business grew, the cooking equipment changed to keep up, but Bob and Anna's attention to detail did not. Even today with Lizard's Thicket serving over 12,000 meals a day, no shortcuts in ingredients or food preparation is taken that would lessen the food quality standards that Bob and Anna worked so hard to set in the beginning.

Today, Bob and Anna’s children and grandchildren are working in each of the restaurants, every day, to insure that the food and service are of the highest quality just as it was when Bob and Anna ran the first restaurant.

We think you will find that our traditional Southern menu offers a wide variety of well rounded nutritional meals at a great value.
