Had Sunday dinner with the family at the Two Notch location. Giving a SHOUT OUT to Hattie! She gave us absolutely awesome service to a party of 18! She was beyond awesome. We’ve been out to lots of places with a group that large, but NEVER had service that superior! WTG!

The Thicket does have great food, excellent service, and fair prices; however, what they don’t advertise is that each “thicket” is a meeting place for the locals who gather daily to spend time with friends they normally wouldn’t run into.

No matter which Lizard’s Thicket I eat at, I usually order different meats and sides. No matter what I choose, it is always the right item, the right temperature and tasty! The many locations make it easy to find a place to eat as well. And, to top it off, since all locations are family restaurants also, I’d have to say Lizard’s Thicket is by far the best restaurant in South Carolina!

Lizard’s Thicket prepared a Thanksgiving lunch for us at Lucy T. Davis Elementary in Florence, SC. It was delicious! The staff that came was so nice and friendly, the food was fresh and there was plenty of it. I have not yet had a chance to go to the restaurant, but I will be heading there soon to see what other good things Lizard’s Thicket serves!

My son graduated from Basic Training at Ft. Jackson. Afterwards, we were looking for a place to eat and while driving we saw the name “Lizard’s Thicket.” Intrigued, we stopped in and could not believe the affordable prices of the food. Addtionally, everything was so good, especially the Mac and Cheese and Squash Casserole, just like Mom’s home cooking (but better, sorry Mom). We live in the Southern Maryland area and if we are ever traveling down South again, this is the first place we will stop to get some down home cooking. God Bless Ya’ll!

My husband and I lived in SC for 2 and a half years back in 1999. We loved Lizards Thicket! We ate there a lot. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner was always good. We have moved back to our hometown, but we still talk about how much we miss Lizard’s Thicket. When we tell people about your food, they just don’t get it. We will visit again someday and will treat our kids to the goodness. I would like to purchase a shirt, hurry up and get them online!!!

Since relocating to the Columbia area from Orlando, FL, I quickly found myself in need of some comfort food. Adjusting to the move was not easy but the day I discovered The Lizard’s Thicket, that all changed. As I entered the Two Notch location I immediately found myself overwhelmed with the aroma of everything that is good and fried! As I browsed the menu I actually toyed with the thought of ordering one of everything. In the end, I maintained my composure and requested the Country Fried Steak with Mashed ‘Taters and Gravy and Mac & Cheese! OMG! I was in heaven. To this day (5 years later) I still enjoy a hot gravy-licious plate of CFS at least once each week. And yes, I know what I’m doing!!! Thanks LT! YOU ROCK!

I have been eating at the Lizard’s Thicket every since I was a little girl when my family and I would come to West Columbia to see my Grandy and the rest of our kin. Just last weekend I drove from Chester, VA with a friend to eat at your Airport location. They had been hearing me talk for quite some time about how great the food and the people are. Now they understand why and are wishing there was a Lizard’s Thicket near us. Oh how we’re missin’ The Lizard’s Thicket!!!

I have been eating Lizard’s Thicket ever since I was in my mother’s womb and I LOVE Lizard’s Thicket! It’s one of my favorite resturants to go to in the Midlands. I would have to say for breakfast my favorite is the whole chipped beef on toast and for lunch and supper I get the kids meal (chicken leg) with mac n’ cheese, my second fave, and fired okra! Ahhh! The fried okra is is like a heavenly vegetable!! :]

I also have some family from Hartsville, SC and everytime they come to town they try to get their Mom to take them to Lizard’s Thicket and every time they ask they are successful! We visited Lizard’s Thicket on Thursday, January 14, 2010. We brought 48 participants and about 20 staff and family members to help serve and feed our participants that needed assistance. Our waitresses did a superb job meeting the needs of our participants. They were very kind and patient with our large group. The food was delicious and the service was great!
